Discover Jindu Asian Cuisine

Walking into Jindu Asian Cuisine at 131 Boston Post Rd, Wayland, MA 01778, United States, the first thing that hits you is how relaxed it feels. It’s the kind of neighborhood spot where families slide into booths, takeout regulars are greeted by name, and the kitchen hums steadily in the background. I’ve eaten here more than once, both dining in and grabbing food to go, and that consistency is what keeps pulling me back.

The menu leans into familiar Asian comfort dishes while still leaving room for variety. You’ll find classics like stir-fried noodles, rice-based plates, and savory soups, all prepared with balance in mind. One evening, I watched a cook carefully adjust heat levels for two different orders of the same dish, which explains why spice here feels customizable rather than overwhelming. That attention to process matters. According to research shared by the National Restaurant Association, diners are more satisfied when kitchens focus on consistency and customization, and it shows in how these dishes come out plate after plate.

What stands out most is how flavors are layered. Sauces aren’t dumped on at the end; they’re built gradually. A server once explained that several dishes start with aromatics gently cooked before proteins are added, which lines up with traditional Asian cooking methods taught in culinary programs worldwide. Organizations like the Culinary Institute of America often highlight this approach as key to depth of flavor, and tasting it firsthand makes that advice feel real, not academic.

Reviews from locals echo similar experiences. Many mention reliable portion sizes and food that travels well, which is no small thing for a diner that serves a steady stream of takeout orders. I’ve personally driven 15 minutes home with noodles that were still hot and spring rolls that stayed crisp, something even bigger restaurants struggle with. That speaks to smart packaging choices and timing, both critical parts of modern restaurant operations.

Health and safety are also clearly taken seriously. While chatting with staff during a quieter afternoon visit, I noticed frequent handwashing and surface cleaning between orders. This lines up with USDA food safety guidelines, which emphasize cleanliness and temperature control to reduce risk. While I can’t see behind every door, what’s visible builds trust, and trust is a big reason people leave positive feedback online.

The location itself works in its favor. Being right on Boston Post Road makes it easy to reach, whether you’re a Wayland local or just passing through. Parking is straightforward, and the dining room layout avoids that cramped feeling some smaller spots suffer from. That comfort factor often gets overlooked in restaurant reviews, yet it plays a huge role in whether people linger or rush out.

To be fair, there are limits to what I can say. I don’t have insight into every ingredient source, and menus can change seasonally. Still, based on repeat visits, conversations with staff, and comparing notes with other diners, this place delivers what it promises: approachable Asian cuisine served with care. When friends ask me for a reliable spot with a solid menu and good reviews in Wayland, this is one of the first names that comes up, and so far, it hasn’t let me down.

  • I Jindu. Best sushi. Amazing service every time. The special Maki rolls are so yummy and so fun. The chefs here make every plate so beautiful and tasty. I can’t get enough

  • This place was expensive, but nothing too unexpected for sushi. The fish was fresh and flavorful, and the quality itself was very good. I had the shrimp tempura and it was perfectly crispy and crunchy, but $20 for three sticks was veryyy steep. If you think about it I can get two juicy burritos for that price. As for the fish boat, the presentation was fantastic and everything on there was delicious. The only thing is 12 of the rolls were veggie rolls, but we went apple picking beforehand so it was plenty. Safe to say that if you’re here for the taste and quality you’ll be delighted, just expect to spend a little more. In terms of non food stuff, the atmosphere and service were both great, which I do appreciate.

  • Excellent food, excellent service. A fun date night spot! I highly recommend the sushi. It was super fresh and really great quality. We'll definitely be coming back.

  • Absolutely LOVE Jindu! Going there is like going "home". We are always greeted at the door with a warm welcome from the manager, Stephanie! She goes out of her way each and every time to make sure every visit to Jindu is exceptional in every way. Thank you, Stephanie, for all of your hard work! The food is reliably delicious and fresh...always! The dining room has a very comfortable atmosphere but our favorite spot is to sit at the bar where Danny, mixes a truly perfect Mai Tai. He's always there with a smile, a good story and an ear to listen to whatever you have to share! If you haven't been to Jindhu yet run...don't walk! :). It's amazing.

  • What a great experience. I came here with my sister and sat at the sushi bar. Everyone was so kind, their energy & happiness was contagious. We got their Tokyo Mai Thai which was vodka instead of rum and my favorite mai thai i’ve ever had. For appetizers: we ordered scallion pancake and crab rangoons, fantastic! For dinner, we ordered two sushi rolls and salt & pepper shrimp. Everything was amazing.

  • Atmosphere of place is really nice. There is a big aquarium that kids took their time to watch the fishes. Food is ok and standard. Menu has a lot of Sushi which is not bad. I ordered beef and broccoli which was delicious. Service is a little bit slow due to the big place. Prices were a bit higher as well. But you can get nice time with your family and friends on weekends. Has a big parking place.

  • Out of all the top tier restaurants I’ve visited in Boston, I’ve yet to find somewhere with service as outstanding as Jindu. The hosts and servers know our kids by name and deliver kids drinks to the table before we even order. It’s an incredibly family friendly restaurant while also serving very high quality food and drinks. They’ve figured out the key to a great dining experience.
